The city of Vancouver and the chosen site of the 2010 Winter Olympics provides an exciting introduction to the coastal islands located just a short ferry ride away.

Day 1 —
Arrival in Vancouver
Board your private limo service to the downtown Vancouver Hotel and enjoy a day at leisure. Your hotel is close to shops and Museums. The theatre district is within walking distance. Accommodation has been booked for one night.

Day 2 —
Vancouver to Galiano Island
Pick up your Hertz full sized car at the downtown Vancouver office and follow the directions to the BC Ferries Terminal and the direct service to Galiano Island in the Pacific Gulf Islands. Waterfront accommodation has been reserved for one night.

Day 3 —
Galiano Island to Saltspring Island *
Several ferry departures a day will take you via Mayne and Pender Islands to Saltspring Island where waterfront accommodation has been booked for two nights. Enroute, keep a lookout for Orca Whales that frequent the area. . Waterfront accommodation has been reserved for two nights.

Day 4 —
Introduction to Saltspring Island
Saltspring is the largest of the Pacific Gulf Islands and hosts one of the Pacific Northwest’s largest artist and craft communities. Visit the studios, the pristine lakes and parks. Explore the local town of Ganges its excellent restaurants and nightly entertainment. Overnight Saltspring Island.

Day 5 —
Saltspring Island to Vancouver
With three ferry connections to Vancouver with frequent departures leaving ample time for a little adventure: sea kayaking, a charter salmon fishing trip or more exploring of this island paradise. Return to Vancouver via BC Ferries and return your car at Vancouver International Airport.

For those not continuing on an Alaskan Cruise your package completes on return of the rental car. For those continuing on a cruise, the rental car can be returned at the Cruise Ship Terminal in downtown Vancouver.
